Mourning Sierra Finch (Phrygilus fruticeti) - a male specimen in total black, dark gray and white plumage (whose colors refer to its name, as if in mourning) - males also have a yellowish/orange beak and legs. Females have a brownish plumage and beak coloring. This species ranges from Peru-Bolivia-Argentina-Chile - here at its northern range in Peru, they are restricted to the dry montane shrubland in the high altitude areas of the Andes Mountains.
