Andean Ibis (Theristicus melanopis branackii) - they grow to around 30 in. (73 cm) in length - have a wingspan to about 3.6 ft. (1.1 m) - weight up to about 3 lb. (1.4 kg) - this subspecies distribution range is the high altitude of Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and northern Chile. This specimen at about 12,100 ft (3,690 m), in the Central Andes Puna ecoregion (montane grasslands, mountain peaks, alpine lakes and valleys) - near Laguna Pomacocha - Concepcion province - Junin region - Peru.
