Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea) - grey blue body and wings - head is purple maroon - the distal third of the beak is black, slate grey towards the head, slightly down turned - irises are yellow - legs and feet are grey green - this specimen in the Tumbes Mangroves National Sanctuary.
