Sierra - covering ≈ 28% of the terrain with slopes and high peaks of the Andes Range, where temperate to frigid climate exists year-round - 3. Selva - the jungle area of the Amazon Basin, comprising ≈ 60% of Peru's land area, the tropical rain forest, with a year-round warm and humid climate, where its altitude ranges from about 250-3,300 ft/75-1,000 m.
