Down the turbid (suspended sediments) whitewater rapids of the Río Santa, shortly after nigh noon - amongst the river islands and the riparian vegetation thereupon - adjacent the talus/scree fans, eroded conglomerate (clastic sedimentary) rock, and colorful mineral pigments along the northeastern slopes from Cerro Patán, in the Cordillera Negra (range) - across the river to the cultivated slope in the Yuramarca district, in the Cordillera Blanca, here in the northwestern Huaylas province - then further to the eroded slopes and ridge along the western flank of Nevado Champará, in the southern Corongo province - with above and distal the southeastern upper ridge, from along Cerro Loma Grande Piñito - all in the Ancash department - western Peru.
