Öskjuvatn (Lake Askja) - a sunken crater and a central volcano in the Dyngjufjöll (mountains) - the surface area of the lake is around 4 mi² (10 km²) and the 2nd deepest in Iceland at about 720 ft (220 m) - here amongst the barren volcanic rock of fallen talus boulders, displaying a high content of felspar and silica (felsic rock) - and adjacent the green algae growth upon the submerged volcanic rock substrate at a laug (warm spring) - located in the Highlands area at about 3,455 ft. (1,053 m), in the Vatnajökull National Park - Northeast region of Iceland.
Paklencia National Park - along the trail to Manita Pec Cave - viewing NW up the Velika (Grand) Paklenica Valley, a karst river canyon, meandering about 9 mi, (14 km) along the southern slopes of the Velebit Mountain - here beyond the slope of Vidakov (L), to Orlov Peak (R), then between distal to Vaganski Peak (above the sunlight patch), rising about 5,764 ft. (1,757 m) - Zadar county - N Dalmatia region - Croatia - NW Balkan Peninsula - Eastern Europe.
Mt. Ngauruhoe - an active strata volcano, rising to about 7,500 ft. (2,286 m), 2nd highest peak on North Island. As see from here along the Tongariro Alpine Crossing track, viewing SWward at about 6,035 ft. (1,840 m) from the saddle which connects and forms the crater rim with Mt. Tongariro to the NW - Tongariro NP - Manawatu-Wanganui region - North Island - New Zealand.
Hraunhafnartangi - the northernmost point of mainland Iceland - upon the Melrakkaslétta Peninsula - about 1 mi. (1.6 km) south of the Arctic Circle - here along the volcanic rock shoreline, amongst the tidepools and halophytic alga (kelp) vegetation during late ebb tide, with the Iceland Sea and Arctic Ocean beyond - Northeastern region of Iceland.
Morsárjökull - an outlet glacier and a hanging glacier, or fjallajökull (mountain glacier) in Icelandic - including its foss (waterfall) along the southern area of the Vatnajökull, which is the largest icecap in Iceland - here with its terminus snout, covered with volcanic drift sediments (glacial till), terminating and calving into the Morsárlón (lagoon) and the glacial bergy bits thereupon - located in the Vatnajökull National Park - Eastern region of Iceland.
Hvítserkur (White Long Shirt) - a dual-arched volcanic basaltic rock sea stack/arch, rising about 50 ft. (15 m), cloaked with barnacles, halophytic vegetation, and guano from the nesting black-legged kittiwakes above - here during mid-ebb tide and neap tide (last quarter moon) - with beyond the southwestern shoreline along the Húnafjörður (fjord) - adjacent the eastern slope and ridge along the Vatnsnes (Lake Peninsula) - Northwestern region of Iceland.
Hverafjall (Hot Springs Mountain), located in the Seltún geothermal area - in the Krýsuvík volcanic system - in the Western Volcanic Zone of Iceland - here viewing up the Hattsmyrargil (gorge) - distal to the Fíflavallafjall (mountain) - Reykjanes (Smoky Peninsula) - Southern Peninsula region of Iceland.
Courting Point - down thru the chalk limestone (calcium carbonate mineral - hard water) and flint strata geology, about 280 ft. (85 m) to Valaine Beach/Point - and beyond thru the Manne-Porte (Great Gateway) seaarch, at the Chemin des Douaniers - to the base of the Aiguille (Needle) seastack and Aval Gateway seaarch tip - here along the English Channel and Alabaster Coast, during mid ebb tide - south of Etretat town - Normandy region - NW France.
Morsárlón - a glacial lagoon sourced from the southern area of Iceland's largest icecap, the Vatnajökull - with beyond the glacial sculpted and weather eroded volcanic basalt rock slope, cloaked with mostly lithophytic moss, and amongst the fossar (waterfalls) beyond - located in the Vatnajökull National Park - Eastern region of Iceland.
Dynjandi (Thunderous), which is also called Fjallfoss (Mountain Falls) - a natural monument of Iceland - a bridal veil falls with a trapezoidal shape, which descends about 330 ft.
