Franciscan Church of the Annunciation - built during 1646-1660 by Augustinian monks - towards the end of the 18th century, Franciscan monks occupied the church and added to its appearance - with renovations following an earthquake in 1895 - the church was originally painted red (symbolic color of the Franciscan monastic order), but over time, the color faded into the current salmon pink which the city liked, so it has remained - the church has a single nave with twin bell towers - it has been protected as a cultural monument of national significance of Slovenia since 2008 - Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.
